UV-C Light Germicidal HVAC Unit Air Purifier Sterilization
- High Powered 72 Watts
- x2 17" UV-C bulbs
- Designed for Increased Surface Area Coverage
Lights in the UV-C wavelength is proven by research to eliminate and/or prevent the buildup of bacteria and viruses. ASHRAE, the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers have documented that the UV-C wavelength kills 90% of all microorganisms living on HVAC air ducts, and evaporator coils, depending on light intensity and light exposure. Our HVAC UV-C light devices are designed to increase the surface area of light exposure receiving maximum intensity, for best sterilization results. Install this device in the evaporator coil (and drip pan) in your HVAC system for best sterilization results.
Are Viruses and Bacteria Within My HVAC System a Health Concern?
Yes, and this has been scientifically proven. Contamination in the HVAC units is a widespread issue that shouldn't be ignored. According to the National Institute of Health, this contamination often contributes to building-related diseases, like viral or bacterial infections, allergic rhinitis, asthma and hypersensitivity pneumonitis. Our UV-C light operates in the effective wavelength spectrum for germicidal efficiency.
Our UV-C Light devices can be installed for your HVAC in two ways; coil sterilization and air sterilization. Air sterilization is also called an In-Duct UVC system, and with this method, the UV-C light disinfects the air as it cycles through the return ducts. By enhancing the reflective surface within that section of the duct work, the UV-C light is maximized in all directions, making it more efficient. With coil sterilization, UV-C lamps are installed to target sensitive and problem-prone components such as cooling coils, condensation pans, and filters. This allows targeting of microbial growth in tougher-to-reach areas such as grooves, fins, seams and edges.
Must be installed by a professional licensed HVAC contractor.
All of our devices run through an inspection and quality control system in the United States. We take pride that we will never ship you a faulty unit.
1 Year Replacement Warranty is included for all devices. If anything goes wrong with any part of the unit, we will replace it at no additional cost. It is recommended that bulbs are replaced on an annual basis for maximum sterilization effects.
